Getting Started
DA-RMAN is the newest Oracle Backup module for backup3G. DA-RMAN is a set of backup and restore procedures that lets you perform:
- offline backup of an Oracle instance
- online backup of an Oracle instance or specified tablespaces
- archived log files backup
- control file and spfile backup
- full or partial restore of backed-up Oracle objects.
DA-RMAN lets you quickly restore Oracle files in the event of a system failure. Once the files are restored from tape, database recovery should be done by a qualified Oracle DBA.
Scheduling and monitoring of Oracle RMAN backups is exactly the same as for any other backup job in backup3G.
DA-RMAN supports Oracle 9i and 10g.
